The cost of a controller is a major component of the total machine cost. How do Mitsubishi controllers work in terms of RoI?
The cost of the controller plays a crucial role in deciding the total machine cost. However, being in the 4th generation of Industrial Revolution, it is also essential to use the latest technologies such as IoT, edge computing, cloud, AI, etc., which could be initially expensive to install, but later would result in good returns.
Mitsubishi CNC is highly reliable controller with very high MTBF and MTTR levels with which customers can expects least breakdowns resulting high productivity and higher return on investment. Adding to it, Mitsubishi Electric is also providing post sales facilities such as EWC (extended warranty contracts,) preventive maintenance, 24-hour service support which will further bring down the cost of CNC.
Many machine tool manufacturers now prefer customisation to suit the IoT era, even adding their own controls. How do OEMs work with such customers?
It’s a tech-driven era that we’re living in, where most customers are tech-savvy with in-depth knowledge about the changing trends in technology and their usage. Hence, OEMs are revisiting their existing techniques and switching to new ones that are purely backed by innovations like AI, sensor technology, cloud platforms, etc.
Mitsubishi CNC is known for high level customisation globally, unlike our competitors. Customisation is done at both hardware and software level to suit the requirements of OEMs. We develop special CNC screens and applications which give an advantage to machine tool builders to create their unique brand in the machine tool market.
